Bathroom & Toilet Waterproofing in Singapore
The bathroom is the single most common source of water leaks in Singapore homes. Our bonded membrane systems seal the floor screed, gully traps and wall-to-floor junctions so moisture stops travelling into adjoining rooms and the unit below.
Signs you need this
- Damp patches or bubbling paint on the ceiling of the room below
- Loose, hollow-sounding or lifting floor tiles
- A persistent musty smell near the toilet wall
- White chalky stains (efflorescence) on skirting or ceiling
- Higher water bills with no obvious cause
How we fix it properly
We begin with a free moisture assessment to confirm whether the leak is from the floor membrane, the pipework or condensation — so you only pay to fix the real cause.
Where the slab is sound, we can often restore protection with a surface-applied PU or cementitious membrane system without hacking out every tile, keeping disruption and cost down. Where the membrane has failed completely, we hack selectively, reinstate the screed and lay a fresh multi-coat membrane with reinforced corner and trap detailing.
Every job is water-ponding tested for 24–48 hours before tiles or finishes go back, and backed by a written workmanship warranty.
Common causes we look for
- Aged or cracked waterproofing membrane below the tiles
- Failed seals around floor traps and pipe penetrations
- Hairline cracks in the floor screed from settlement
- Deteriorated grout and silicone at wall-floor corners

Tell us what you’re seeing — we’ll take it from there.
Do you need to hack all my floor tiles?
Not always. If the slab beneath is structurally sound, a surface-applied membrane system can restore protection with little or no hacking. We only recommend full hacking when the underlying membrane has genuinely failed, and we tell you honestly which one applies.
How long does bathroom waterproofing take?
A surface re-coat is typically 2–3 days including curing and testing. A full hack-and-reinstate job runs about 5–7 days depending on tiling. We confirm the timeline in writing before starting.
Are the materials safe for children and pets?
Yes. We use low-VOC, child- and pet-friendly membranes that are safe once cured, which matters for family bathrooms.
